During 2008, The Rocky Mountain Section sponsored 22 schools throughout Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and Colorado for the Space Explorers program.  Below is a listing of those schools.

14. Midkota Elementary

15. Midkota Jr/Sr High School

16. Beulah Middle School

17. Griggs County School District

18. Bishop Ryan High School

19. Bonesteel-Fairfax Jr/Sr High School

20. Douglas Middle School

21. Greybull Middle School

22. Ronan High School

A total of 64 teachers and approximately 2,850 students utilized the Space Explorers programs and activities thanks to the Rocky Mountain Section, American Astronomical Society
